Hello Mayra:
It is good to know your negative experience with the Registro Civil, so
as not to waste valuable time and effort.
It was suggested by my father as the place where birth and marriages
were recorded, but we have never written to the Registro Civil since
we arrived in the U.S. in '63, and have no experience with any of the
government offices in Cuba. Have you had the same experience with
the Archivo Nacional?
By the way, is there any information available stateside on the records
of the Colon cemetery?
Happy New Year 2001!
René
