Dear CUBA-L Subscribers:

It is our pleasure to inform you that the CUBAN GENEALOGY CONFERENCE 2002 will be held on

Saturday, April 27 & Sunday, April 28, 2002

We share these dates with you so that you may mark them on your calendars and begin to make preparations to attend what we know will be an exciting and productive reunion of genealogists -- from the amateur to the expert -- with a special interest in Cuba.

Our working group, comprised of six committees, each charged with responsibility for coordinating the many aspects of this complex undertaking, is diligently working to secure the hotel, select topics, and engage appropriate speakers, information that we will share with you in the very near future through a formal agenda that will also quote the conference fee and provide a registration form. At a later date, we will also provide the E-mail address generously set up by Ed Elizondo for conference-related correspondence.

We hope you're as excited as we are by the opportunity our Conference will afford to indulge, among like-minded individuals, the twin passions of our Cuban ancestry and genealogy.

We look forward to seeing each of you in Miami, Florida!
