Thank you for your response.
My wife's grandmother, Caridad Perdomo Llanes, was born sometime around
1894-95 in Melena del Sur. She was the daughter of Antonio Perdomo and
Domitila Llanes. Both had died during the War of Independence and Carida
was thus placed in the Casa de Beneficencia in La Habana.
Her mother, Domitila, was from San Jose de las Lajas. Domitila was a
sister of Andrea Llanes and Andrea was the mother of Otalio Soca Llanes
(Chief of the Cuban Air Force during the mid 1940's).

Caridad Perdomo Llanes eventually was adopted by Evaristo Medina and
settled in the area of Los Palacios, Pinar del Rio.
She married Jose Bacallao Hernandez sometime around 1914. Jose was also a
war orphan from La Casa de la Beneficencia. They both had met each other
while there.

I'll be traveling in January to Cuba. I hope to continue doing research
while I'm there. Any additonal family info you can give me would be greatly
appreciated.
