My great-grandparents, Matilde Hernandez and Tomasa Lopez were in Key West in
1888 when my grandfather, Rogelio Hernandez was born. I believe they
returned to Cuba about 1890, but came to Tampa about 1905. Some of the older
daughters apparently stayed in Cuba. I am almost certain the family was from
San Antonio de los Banos. I am also trying to find information on them. I
know Hernandez is a very common name but I would like to make any connection
I can.
