Hello all, especially Denise.

First of all, Denise, many thanks to you and your copy team for your work on
these films. You've saved literally generations for us to research.

Unfortunately, there is no index on the films. But since there's been talk
of indexing the rolls and in order to avoid double work, I am pleased to
announce The Cuban Genealogy Club of Miami is preparing to index all the
surnames found in the rolls. We'll send an announcement to the CUBA-L as we
finish each roll and put it on our website. We've been working on it for a
few weeks now and it'll be a few months before we can complete it since we
can only visit the center a couple of nights a week. It is not an easy task;
some or parts of the papers are illegible or didn't copy well and the
handwriting on others is difficult to read, but we are doing the best we
can. The good news is that one of the rolls is about 2 thirds of the way
through.

As soon as we get the index on our website, we'll send a note to all our
friends on the CUBA-L.
