You are right.Daniel Cain and his family are in the l850 census. And
he probably did die in l85l but his tombstone reading says Janl850. This
may have been a mistake in the reading or transcription.. His estate was
appraised in Jan. l85l and the sale was in March l85l. I understand the
Zion Hill Cemetery was a big problem because at the time the reading was
taken it was overgrown and very hard to reach. It was read by Mr. and Mrs
Edgar Egner and Christa Meadors (all now deceased) and I appreciate their
efforts so much. Sybil
