Woodrow Lester
Woodrow Lester, 87, Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, February
11, 2000 at his home.
He was the owner-operator of Lester's Taxi Service in the Williamsburg
area for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby
Richardson Lester.
Survivors include two sons, Carroll Donald Lester of Williamsburg and
Jimmy Lester of Cincinnati, Ohio; three daughters, Imogene Anderson of
Williamsburg, Verna Lee Bowker of Fort Myers, Florida, and Evelyn Brown of
Williamsburg; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and six
great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Alfred Lester of Loveland,
Ohio; three sisters, Thelma Stephens of Loveland, Ohio, Edith Shelley of
Williamsburg, and Marie Owens of Oneida, Tennessee; also several nieces,
nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 13 at the Croley Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating. Burial was in the Jellico
Creek Cemetery.

Priscilla Norris Palmer
Priscilla Norris Palmer, daughter of Jeannette M. Palmer and the late
Dr. Robert L. Palmer, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2000 at the Lake
Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset.
After her birth in New Orleans, Louisiana, Priscilla Palmer moved with
her parents to Mississippi, then to Tennessee and later to Kentucky. At the
time of her death Priscilla was a resident of the Oakwood Training Center in
Somerset.
Priscilla Palmer is survived by her mother; by her uncle, Richard
Mommsen and his wife, Elsie, all of Bellbrook, Ohio; as well as a number of
cousins and many friends in Williamsburg and Somerset among the staff of
Oakwood where Priscilla had lived for more than twenty years.
A graveside service was held February 10 at the Highland Park Cemetery
in Williamsburg with Dr. Harold Mauney, pastor of the Williamsburg First
Baptist Church, conducting. He was assisted by Judge Eugene Siler.
Memorials may be sent in memory of Priscilla Palmer to the P.R.O.O.F.
Fund, Inc., in care of Mrs. Elaine Wilson, 2441 South Highway 27, Somerset,
KY 42501.

Helen Reeves
Helen Reeves, 73, Howington Lane, Corbin, passed away Thursday,
February 10, 2000 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Reeves and a
great-granddaughter, Brittney Ard.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Brimm Fetzer of Kennesaw, Georgia;
four sons, Paul Brimm of London, Jim Brimm of London, Kenny Brimm of Corbin
and Tim Brimm of Corbin; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Lucy Meece and Judy Williams, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 13 at the Ellison Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Mosier officiating. Burial was in the Briar
Creek Cemetery, Moses Addition.

Mossie Angel Bingham
Mossie Angel Bingham, 80, Spruce Creek Road, Corbin, passed away
Sunday, February 13, 2000 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 7, 1919 in Whitley County to the late M.T. and
Mae Alsip Worley. She had worked at the American Greetings plant at Corbin
and belonged to the Mauney's Chapel Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dessie and Harold Neeley
of Corbin; three grandsons, Doug Young and wife, Sandy of Ashland, David
Young of Corbin and Dwain Neeley and wife, Heather of Corbin; seven
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Ward of Centerville, Ohio and Jean
Wells of Flemingsburg; three brothers, Roscoe Worley of Troy, Ohio, Odell
Worley and Joby Worley, both of Corbin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 15 at the O'Neil Funeral
Home Chapel with Brother Marion Parkey officiating. Burial was in the Worley
Cemetery on Spruce Creek Road.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.

William Egnor
William Egnor, 83, Meadow Creek Road, Rockholds, passed away Thursday,
February 10, 2000 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by five sisters, Dorotha Monhollen of Rockholds,
Florence Hill of Rockholds, Opal Peace of West Alexandria, Ohio, Carrie
Prewitt of Champ, Illinois and Hazel Ann Miller of Fairborn, Ohio; two
brothers, Walter Ralph Egnor and Thomas Earl Egnor, both of Dayton, Ohio;
also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who
mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 13 at the Ellison Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Decker officiating. Burial was in the Whestone
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Daniel Monhollen, Thomas Hill, Jerry Hill, Dewayne
Thomas, Jerry Allen Lambdin and Michael Lambdin.

Eliza McKiddy
Eliza "Eula" McKiddy, 59, Siler, passed away Thursday, February 10,
2000 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She is the wife of Dowel McKiddy.
Funeral services were held February 13 at the Croley Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Sim Thacker and Rev. Joe Starrett officiating. Burial was
in the McKiddy Cemetery by Croley Funeral Home.
Nancy Kinney
Nancy M. Kinney, 59, Corbin, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2000 at
the Baptist Regional Medical Center. Her husband, Paul J. Kinney, survives.
Funeral services were held February 15 at the O'Neil Funeral Home
Chapel with Shirley Engle officiating. Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery
by O'Neil Funeral Home.
Nancy Thomas
Nancy Jane Smith Thomas, 81, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday,
February 12, 2000 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center. She was the widow
of Ervin Thomas.
Funeral services were held February 15 at the Main Street Baptist
Church with Rev. Jerry Lowrie and Glenn Thomas officiating. Burial was in
the Highland Cemetery by Ellison Funeral Home.
Debra Grega
Matthew Grega
Debra Lynn Grega, 39, and son Matthew (Sean) Grega, 7, Corbin, passed
away Thursday, February 10, 2000 as the result of injuries received in a
traffic accident. Debra's husband and Matthew's (Sean's) father, Charles F.
Grega, survives.
Funeral services were held February 13 at the Sacred Heart Catholic
Church with Father Bob Damron officiating. Burial was in the Resthaven
Cemetery by Hart Funeral Home.
Phyllis Higginbotham
Phyllis Creekmore Higginbotham, 54, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday,
February 12, 2000 at the Jellico Community Hospital, Jellico, Tennessee. She
is survived by Raymond Higginbotham.
Funeral services were held February 14 at the Llewellyn Funeral Home.
Burial was February 15 in the Douglas Cemetery by Llewellyn Funeral Home.
