Anna, here's some information I have found on your Lawsons.

I did find, I believe to be your Edmond Lawson listed among the soldiers,
1861-1865 in the Civil War files. He is on the Confederate Side Tennessee
Regiment...

Regiment Name: 37 Tennessee Infantry. (7 Tenn. Reg't Prov'l Army. 1 E. Tenn.
Rifles)
Company: 1
Rank In: Private
Rank In Expanded: Private
Rank out: Corporal
Rank Out: Expanded: Corporal
Alternate Name; Edward/Lawson
Film Number: M231 roll 25

It would be wonderful to have his Civil War records. Could find alot of
information.

I did find Thomas Lawson in the 1840 Census of Campbell Co., TN

In the 1850 Census of Scott Co., TN Anna Lawson & Edmond Lawson are the
grandchildren of William & Mary Jeffers.

Can provide source.
