MARRIAGE AT EGREMONT
Yesterday (Tuesday) morning, at the Parish Church, Egremont, by the Rev H BRIERLEY, of Liverpool, assisted by the Rev W THWAITES, rector of Egremont, the Rev E C BENNETT, of Cockermouth, fourth son of the late Mr W Garrett Bennett, Manchester, was married to Miss S McCLELLAN, Egremont. As the wedding party entered the church the choir sang "The voice that breath'd o'er Eden," Miss TOWERSON officiating at the organ. After the wedding ceremony was over, there was a celebration of Holy Communion. Miss Towerson played the "Wedding March" as the happy pair left the church. The bride was arrayed in a gown of white viole(sic), trimmed with white silk and lace, with hat to match. Her travelling gown was fawn, with cream panels and revers(sic), braided with brown; a black chip hat, trimmed with brown shot ribbon, and pale pink poppies completed the costume. The bridesmaids, who were the three sisters of the bride, wore cream serge dresses, and brown picture hats trimmed with shot rib!
bon and white roses and forget-me-nots. The wedding presents are very numerous and costly. The happy pair are spending their honeymoon in North Wales.
