Thank you both.

It is clear that the coheiresses were Mary and Anne. They must have been
sisters, with Mary as the senior (hence the 'Mrs'); but I would guess that
there was some agreement between them all in 1696 to hand the Hall over to
Anne and her husband.

This does twitch a few chords of memory, even though I have nothing in my
notes. I vaguely remember seeing her birth entry in a register and, if I
can, will look tomorrow.
