Just a, hopefully, optimistic postscript to Justine's message about the
FreeBMD export in Custodian II. I should say I have not used Custodian
but do process and reformat Birth/Marriage/Death data for FreeBMD and we
are extremely grateful to all family researchers for submitting their
personal data.

A number of Custodian users have run into trouble using the FreeBMD
export and we have spent many hours reformatting the data. However I am
pleased to say that Phil Smith has been given a list of the bugs and the
two alternate FreeBMD formats and is already working on the new version.
I have asked him also to consider putting a downloadable fix on the
Custodian website for current users.

In the meantime may I ask those users who intend sharing their data with
FreeBMD to use the spreadsheet .xls or .csv text formats before
submitting their data.

Many thanks to those who have helped identify the bugs. :-)
