The reason that the Other form doesn't have a name, age field etc in the grid
part of the form is that it is not possible to know what people are going to
need the form for; you could have a list of a dozen names or more in a record
and it's not practical to have more than one or two name fields in the grid,
along with the corresponding ages etc. Also, if you enter a piece of text
from a record, word for word, you might want some of the names to go to the
Index, but not names of officials etc. It would be important to keep the text
together for it's historical context, but if you used a grid for the names
you would be duplicating typing and possible errors anyway. Hugh's suggestion
for using the Other form for the adoption certificate is a very effective way
of using the form.
Regarding your Irish Constabulary record, perhaps there's a call for a Police
Records form for v3.
Does anyone else have any police records?
