The following is a portion of the muster roll for the MO 6th Cavalry, CO H.
I think that most of the men in this company were connected in some way.

S.F. (Simpson Franklin, my great great grandfather) and J.W. Gates
(John Wesley) were brothers. I have names for other family members that
likely are these men. However I can find no Civil War records with their full
names. So far everything is in initials. Sooo.....I welcom any little tidbit that
may open a door. S.F and J.W. settled in Randolph Co AR after the war and
probably they were followed by other family members. If I am not mistaken
the 6th Regiment later became a part of the 11th Regiment.
