This is all I know of this ancestors Civil War history. Does anyone know
anything about the battles of Pine Ridge or Springfield? I appreciate any
information anyone can share. Thank you.

Military service: Lewis John Ralston, Jr. enlisted Nov. 1, 1863 in Mount
Vernon, MO. Mustered in Feb. 3, 1865 Springfield, MO. Rank of Private.
Company K under Colonel John D. Allen and the Company Commander was Captain J. M.
Richie. Was in battles of Pine Ridge and Springfield. Mustered out July 1,
1865 Springfield, MO..
Interestingly enough, he was on the Union side of the fight and his father
and brothers were fighting in GA for the Confederates as part of the Blue
Ridge Mountain boys protecting the N. GA mountain passes from Yankees.
