Janet have you searched the Black surname board for info on your Black family ancestors? The board is very active.
You can also check out the Cherokee NC; Cherokee Oklahoma and the Cherokee Freedman boards I admin.
I am researching the surnames Black-Sturgill; but could not find your Sarah.
