Looking for Cherokee surnames Shatto,Bell,Shaw,McClellan. Not sure if any of
these are but I was told that there is Cherokee in my bloodline from my
father's side of the family.
His mother's name was Cytha Bell b. appx. 1900 somewhere in Tennessee. His
father Walter Shatto b. appx. 1900 somewhere in Texas, Cytha's father was Henry
Manuel Bell married to Ida Mea Shaw. There is also a Melinda McClellan way
back in the line.I haven't had a problem tracing the Bells but I can't seem to
find any information on Shatto dating back past 1900. Also having trouble
finding any information on Ida Mea Shaw I can't seem to find any information on who
her parents were, I believe she was from MO.....PLease if anyone can help me
find any information on these family mambers please contact me.
