I have all these rumors and circumstantial evidence, but I'm having a
difficult time tracking back my own g-g-grandfather's ancestors because he
was apparently ashamed of them. I'm not sure where else to look if the
normal sources don't turn anything up. Any suggestions on where to look for
additional documentation of native lineage would be appreciated.

There are many records available on the computer. State and county history,
cencus, tax lists, cemitary records, Surname Genealogy forums, wills, land
and deed records, marriage records, church records, and probly more that I
can't think of right now. The trick is to always keep searching out every clue
and study the records over closely. Grandma
