Wow. Let me tell you a story here... A few years ago, I got publicly- on
list- "eaten alive" by a list owner, for having the audacity to post the list of
names of the 1832 Cherokee Emigrants from Georgia. I credited the author of
the original book, Mr. Don Shadburn, btw - an excellent historian... Listed
the book, by name, "Cherokee Planters in Georgia" and mentioned it was an
excellent book and could be purchased online...

I got a lashing I will never forget, this list owner publicly informed me
she was a friend of Mr. Shadburn, and I was a copyright thief. Of course, I
dropped her list, and I bet there are several people on this list that remember
which list I am referring to:)

Since that time, I mainly read what is posted and keep my mouth shut. If the
way you are explaining copyright is correct, I would be posting a lot more
than I do. I collect out of print books and have some excellent general
