Hello, I am new to the list, have just found out my Great Great Grandfather was a Patrick Henry Carroll who came from Tipperery, Ireland to the United States in 1847. I have nothing of his family in Ireland, and am looking for any ties there. Also we have a gap between 1847 when he left there, and 1870 when he was in Macon, GA. married to a Frances K. Vinson. They had 5 children Patrick J., James Andrew (My great grandfather) Robert Emmett or Emmett Robert, and Curran M. plus Ella M. only girl of family. They lived in Macon, GA and then moved to Dubuque Iowa where the rest of my Carroll family lived and raised their families. My Grandfather was Zachary Taylor Carroll of Dubuque, Iowa and later San Bernardino,Calif. Any and all information on either the family in Ireland and in the United States would be much appreciated.
