Iris, I would think that most of the more rural parishes now have only one
priest who is doing all of the baptisms, marriages, funerals and sick calls,
etc. Giving him a bit of R & R time leaves little time for look-ups unless
he gives up sleeping or eating. I thin even Tipp Town might now only have
two priests where they used to have four. Years ago the first sons of the
families became priests, but no longer. No one wants to be a priest anymore.
I think Ireland is now importing priests from other countries. Since he
hasn't returned your money, I will guess that he will get around to it one
of these days. You might drop him a very polite note soon. Janet
