In case anyone has not read about it - Microsoft has a massive new security
update that covers all versions from 98 on up. Now that the news is out
there, the virus guys will be developing a new virus to take advantage of
the people who do not install the update. Let's get a jump on them and keep
our listers safe. You can go to the Microsoft download center at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en
and sign up for automatic downloads. Microsoft will then automatically
download new security patches while you are on line and it does not
interfere with anything you are doing. We will all be safer. It will also be
important to update your virus protection for the next few months on a
regular, and probably daily basis. It only takes a minute to sign up for the
auto downloads [see upper right section of the download center screen] and
will save you hours or days of grief later on.
