Padraig, and the rest of the list.
I do not know whereabouts Timothy was born. I wrote the reference a couple of years ago and thought it referred to Kilkenny. You were able to put me right and I may have mistaken my own scribble for a 'Kil' instead of 'Ker' for Kerry. This reference may not even refer to the Timothy I am looking for.
Could it be possible that although Timothy is supposed to be from Tipperary, that he was actually born in Kerry?I think his mother may have been Johanna (Hanna?) Flinn.
Are there any parishes or districts in Tipperary where it was ususal for a birth to be registered in Kerry? This may at least point me in the direction of a possible birthplace, and even a chapel..
I am also curious as to how lists of Tipperary War dead were compiled, as they include Timothy, although he died in Belfast. Any ideas how they found out he was from Tipperary?
Many thanks
Brian
