Dear Hugh,
I also am researching County Tyrone and the area known
as Armagh., also I may have a connection in the village
of Castle Finn. If you locate anything on Purviance, De
PurVaiance, Province, Provines, Provence, Provens,
Provin [s]; I would be so thankful for anything which
could connect me enough so that I can finish my family
tree before my 89 year old uncle dies. My father's last
wish to me was to do the family tree. He died in 1977,
a sad, broken man. The work was unfinished as I had taken on so many other
things. In 1987, it hit me that
I might have little time myself and God has touched me
and healed me several times, and still I try to finish the
work. I have my father's people back to 862 AD when
a princess was born in France. In 892 she came to Ireland to marry either a
prince or king, or the next king.
I am unsure. I know their names and surnames, but have
not yet been able to connect them to a man in Ohio. He
also has been to the places which you mentioned that your
ancestor had gone. I will be aware as I search, and if I
find something you can use I will send it. If you can find
it in your heart, please do the same for me.
Thanks for your time,
I know time is a precious thing,
Sincerely,
NJ
