Hi Sandy

My dad was Denis "Din Dooris" O'Sullivan, born in Dooris outside of Glengarrif
in 1893. Dad was a well known fiddler in his day. His father was Denis
O'Sullivan, a blind fiddler and poet (died in 1899). His mother was Mary
Harrington - I know nothing about her except that she survived her husband.

Dad came to this country in (my guess) 1923 and lived in NYC most of his life.
He died in NJ in 1975. His oldest sister, Minnie, emigrated with her husband
Dennis Murphy in about 1898 to Lowell, MA. I don't know when she died (post
1959). His sister, next in age, married Mike Scully and emigrated to Lowell,
then AZ and ended up in San Francisco. She died in about 1970. Two brothers,
Michael and Daniel, died in the 1910's. Then came dad. The youngest in the
family was Katherine who came to NYC in about 1920. She married Paddy Kileen.
Aunt Katherine died in 1995 in NJ.

If this info sparks any thoughts, I will be more than happy to fill you in on
any detail. I have absolutely no info about either my grandfather or my
grandmother's family.
