I am preparing to send out five requests to the General Register's Office in
Dublin. This adds up to a fee of 15 Irish Punts. Since I am in the USA, I
am trying to figure out the best way to get this fee to them. Under the
heading "Foreign Applications" it says that:
"Fees are payable in Irish Pound Currency or Draft I.E.P. made payable to
the Registrar-General. We also accept Irish Punts (cash), Sterling (cash),
US $ (cash) or any account".
This is pretty confusing. Any suggestions? I can get Traveller's Checks at
my local bank denominated in UK Sterling. Would this work? What is the
current exchange between Irish and UK pounds?
Thanks,
