Subject: Araglin, near Fermoy

I posted an enquiry to the Cork list recently seeking information about a
town called Araglen, near Fermoy in Cork, which my uncle visited in 1923.
I subsequently found it on a map but it is spelt Araglin. It appears to be
about 15 kms out of Fermoy. Other surrounding towns are: Ballyporeen,
Mitchelstown, Kilworth, and Ballyduff.
Has anyone done family history research "on the ground" in this area? We
are planning to visit after Easter. I assume Fermoy would be the most
appropriate "base" for a couple of days.
Should I cc this message to the IrelandGenWeb list?
Any leads would be much appreciated.
