Dear rootsweb people,

My great grandmother was a Mary McGurk (born 1850), said to have been
born in Cork. Her sister was Margaret (born 1853), and she had two
brothers James (1855) and Peter (1857). Her sister and brothers were
born in Ratho, Midlothian, Scotland.

However, I was wondering whether it would be possible to confirm that
our Mary was actually from Cork. Her parents names were Michael McGurk
(born 1816/18) and Bridget Kerr or Cool (Born 1827), place unknown, but
perhaps also in Cork.

Any information you are able to supply would be much appreciated. Thank
you for your help.
