Looking for Charles TALBOT , 12th
Earl of Shrewsbury was a statesman
under Charles II and James II but
gave money to William of Orange
and did much to bring about the
revolution of 1688 which saw the
end of the Stewards and the beginning
of the Jacobite cause. He was created
1st Duke of Shrewsbury.
