I am looking for information on my ggg grandfather, Cornelius McCarthy.
He was born 15 Nov 1816 at Morahen, Parish of Kilcoe, Cork. He married
Ellen Gallagher at the Parish of Kilcoe on 4 Nov 1834.

Lookup Result:

In the Griffiths Valuation, 1853, for the Parish of Kilcoe, in the Townland
of Murrahin, South, I found Cornelius McCarthy listed as leasing a house,
offices and land from Edward and George Becher. Total area was approx. 51
acres. He, in turn, leased a house and small garden to Jeremiah Driscoll. Also
living in Murrahin South at that time was a Timothy McCarthy.

The only Gallaghers I was able to find in Kilmoe were Patrick and David
Gallagher, living in the townland of Kilmoe.
