I am new to the list and also new to doing Irish genealogy. I have been told
my great grandfather came from Skibbereen. I need to know how to figure out
what Catholic parish he might have lived in. Thanks for any help.

I believe the Parish was called Skibbereen. They show earliest birth records
available for 1827. Go to the IrelandGenWeb pages for more info on Catholic
parishes in Ireland (Cork county) Good luck!
