Dan, I for one, would be very interested to hear how you got on at the
various places you went researching - e.g. how did you plan ahead for going
to these places, how easy it was to gain access, how available the resources
and information were, how helpful the staff, how busy the libraries etc. Did
you have to make appointments? Were there charges and if so, how much (e.g.
to use a fiche reader ..) all that stuff would be useful to someone like me
who DREAMS of going and doing first hand research, and wants to be prepared
for when I finally get there!!

I personally have no objection whatsoever to having other peoples research
information posted up - like your Murphy's - if I know it isn't going to
concern me, I flip on by; I suspect most of us feel the same way, and just
one or two feel differently!
