Dear Kieran,

Many thanks for your e-mail and for the suggestion that Riobard O'Dwyer is
the man who wrote "Family Branch Names : Surname Usage Peculiar to West
Cork"; now I come to think of it, I am pretty sure that is correct, and that
in fact he and I have communicated by e-mail. He found none of my Fordes but
one Hazel, if I remember correctly. Thanks for replying (and thanks to all
who made the suggestion - I think I have replied privately to you all, but
in case I missed anyone ...)
