I looked in Volume 8 of Missing Friends for you. This is what I found:

p. 42
OF DANIEL HALLISEY, of Macroom, co. Cork, who lived in South Braintree five
years, and left there, it is supposed, for New York State, last June. He
was a laborer by occupation. He left his wife and four children after him in
South Braintree, and was at work till he went away, which he did without
telling his wife of his intention. Any person knowing of his whereabouts
will confer a favor on his wife by sending her his address. Please write to
May Hallisey, 7 Sewell's Court, Beecham Street, Charlestown, Mass.

Would it be possible for someone to look up Hallisey's in the Missing
Friends
Index? The names are pretty common ones...Patrick, Dennis, Daniel, Ellen,
Michael, John and William. They came over from County Cork in the late
1870's or early 1880's. And help would be greatly appreciated.
