Am searching for early 1800's information about the Town of Conna, County Cork. My gggrandfather PATRICK LEAHY, wife Joanna and children were part of the Peter Robinson's Settlers of 1823 who received a recommendation from the Parish Priest, D. Daly, of Conna to be accepted as part of this assisted immigration. Am interested to learn of the area and what life would have been like there.
Also trying to locate any information about the name PATRICK BERRIGAN. Suppose have come from County Cork to Canada in about 1818. However could have come from Offlay and listed Cork as the Port of his departure from Ireland. So far he is my great mystery.
Any information will be appreciated.
Many thanks, Nancy
