Listers,
Looking to claim this family from Kilworth/Mitchelstown Parish Co Cork as my
anscestors from whom the Lyons of Ballan Victoria are descendant from.
John Lyons and Ellen Sullivan married in the RC Church of Mitchelstown
Parish on 1 May 1833.
Children William born 1835(is this "Patrick William " Lyons my Great Great
Grandfather.)
John 1837
Elizabeth 1840
Ellen 1842 and Martin 1845.

I can not find shipping records of their entry into Australia. My GGfather
first shows up in Ballan Victoria Australia in 1862. Next time we find him,
is on his way to New Zealand to mary his bride to be Bridget Dwyer. It also
appears they both had family there in New Zealand to go to. They had four
children in the Tupekea district and then settled back in the 1870's in
Ballan. They then had several more children. Bridget Dwyer's mother was a
Shanahan.
I have found Bridget and her Brother Michael burried in the Old Ballan
Cemetery. Also I believe her sister Catherine married a Patrick McGrath.
There are also Shanahans in Old Balan Cemetery but I am not sure if they are
Bridgets family.

Before I claim the above Lyons family from Kilworth Co Cork as mine (this is
what the researchers from Mallow Heritage Centre sent us) I want definite
proof of ownership. In other words shipping records to Australia.
Any help or suggestions welcome.
