Hello,

I am new to this list and just beginning research for Co. Cork. Here is
my brick wall: Mary Miner/Minor born in Midleton Co. Cork in 1830, I
believe she was Church of Ireland. She came to New York during the
famine years, and was married by 1850 in New York to William Jones (who
was from Sheffield England). They lived in Ossining New York, she died
in 1861-2. All of her sons and grandsons had the middle name of Miner,
which leads me to believe that that was her maiden name. Taking in the
fact that I have extensively researched her husbands family and no
Miners are there.
If anyone has a similar last name they are researching in the Co. Cork
area, any information would be most gratefully received.
I also have extensive information regarding the descendents of Mac
Teige O'Killia ( son David O'Killia) who came to Cape Cod Massachusetts
in the 1600's. Anyone researching the O'Killia's, O'Killey's, Kelley,
Kelly, etc., is welcome to inquire.
Regards,
Lisa Kelley
