Hello;

>From the Cancellation Books, Valuation Office, Dublin.
County of Cork, Barony of Condons and Clan Gibbon, Parish of Macroney, Union
of Fermoy, Electoral Division of Gortnaskehy.

Ordnance Survey 20, 28.

1880-1900. Townland of Billeragh East

Page 4
Lot #11 Edmond Parker, In Fee, Land 8 acre/2rod/16perch.

Note: This is bracketed with Lot 10 Cathe Veale in 1891. On Lot 10, Cathe
Veale is crossed out in favor of Nathaniel Buckley. Nathaniel Buckley is
crossed out in 1892 in favor of Abel Buckley. Also, in 1892 there is a
pencil mark circling the name Abel Buckley. Also, Reps. of Abel Buckley
1891, indicating Mr. Buckley passed away and his estate was under the
control of an administrator or administratrix. There is a note in the margin
that Edmond Parker was on lot 11 in 1896. The Buckley's seem to be
principal landlords in the area.

Page 6
Lot 15 a Nathaniel Buckley, crossed out in favor of Edmond Parker, Ho. and
Land - all notes between 1892-1896. Then, "new ho. 97" is written in the
margin.

Page 12
Billeragh West
Lot 6 which was land and flour mill - is noted "91 mill in ruins". William
and John Parter [I can't decipher whether this is Parter or Porter or
Parker, because it is crossed out in favor of Edmond Kennelly in 1891].

This is only one Cancellation Book covering a period of time in the late
1800s. To get the overall history, I think you would be well counseled to
hire someone in Dublin to go through the House Books (pre-Griffiths) and the
rest of the Cancellation Books for other years, depending of course on your
level of interest and willingness to commit funds to further research.

Hope this helps,
Dave Murray
