Hi Nora,
It would seem that you are still, as I am, searching vainly for information on our Leary ancestors
from the Cousane/Coomhola area. I still have only the one lead which I think I have shared with you
before. Just in case I am mistaken, here it is again:
Jeremiah Leary, b: 27 September or December 1876. F: John Leary, M: Julia Leary [Keohane] Cousane.
Sorry I cannot read the month clearly but definitely one of the above.
However I also have a Baptism Cert. for a Jeremiah Leary, Bap. 24 October 1876, with parents of same
name. Sponsors: Muredochus Leary and Maria Keohane. If it is the same child it is strange that he
was not Baptised until nearly one month after birth. Most unusual for a Catholic family in those
days. He was baptised at St Finbarrs Bantry, Co. Cork.
