Hi all

Is anyone researching the surname FITZGERALD. I am aware that it one of the most popular names in Co Cork, however I am looking for the family of Ellen FITZGERALD, born c1834 possibly at Skibbereen. He father was probably James FITZGERALD. Ellen was RC, and an Irish famine orphan. She arrived in Australia in 1850. I know nothing of her pre Australia. Ellen FITZGERALD is mentioned the book 'Barefoot and Pregnant'.

Can anyone help.
