Hughe's Lane is paired with Paul Street in a 'Postal Directory of Munster',
three scanned sheets I have, the source being long forgotten. I think they
may be from Guy's Directory of 1866. Check the map out from this at
http://www.sci.net.au/userpages/mgrogan/cork/cork_map4.htm which is from
Guy's. You will see Paul Street in the area bounded by Pope's Quay, South
Mall, North Main St.which is about dead centre.

I'd check the 1984 OS Map for the small numbered streets but the index has
become detached and is buried under a pile somewhere.

Many of these Lanes have long since fallen to the wheels of 'progress'.
(Who was it that said, "Funny how progress always seems to make things
worse."?).

Regards,

Donnacha
