Can S.K.S please answer this mystery.

My Grandparents John Patrick O'CONNELL & Mary Ann CONNOR, married in St
Finbarrs Church South, City of Cork, Cork on the 12 July 1874 (maybe 1873).

With this information I applied to the Record Office, (Archives) in Dublin
for a copy of their marriage certificate, but was informed that there was no
record of the marriage.
