Kia Ora Everyone,
Haven't contributed for quite a while, but have been interested in reading all the imputs and learning at the same time. Re Name variations- wondered if anyone has any information on the name CORKER, have beeb slowly putting some of my ancestors into the family tree, but do not seem to be able to make a connection with anyone living in County Cork currently. So wondered about a name variation- anyone have any ideas. The family I am tracing certainly appear to be "early English" and look as though they came from London, via Cornwall to Cork. Connections into the Church of Ireland and Army. Links with "Cor" Castle- is that still in existence? Thanks
Joan Cook. (New Zealand).
