Hi all -
I'd like to invite all of you to come and be part of the today's
Generations: Find Your Roots program today. What is Generations:
Find Your Roots on Talkspot? It is a two hour program on the
Internet. In order to join the show you need:
1. A computer with a sound board and speakers.
2. A web browser (i.e. Netscape, MS Internet Explorer, AOL).
3. Real Audio software for listening to audio files.
4. A pioneering spirit and sense of adventure.
Then, visit this web site ahead of time & register a user name with
TalkSpot (it's free):
http://www.talkspot.com/shows/generations.html
Visit the site again at 4:00pm Pacific, 7:00pm Eastern and log in

Once you join the show you can:
~~ Listen the program via your computer and Real Audio
~~ Call in on the toll free phone number
~~ Participate in text/typed messages in the chat room
~~ Read the chat room conversation
~~ See graphics, pictures and even video of the us in the studio
~~ Participate in instant polls
~~ Even draw on a map with virtual crayons
Our host is Elon Gasper, of Sierra Online. His love of genealogy,
combined with technology is clear with this new, fun idea for
communicating online. Our co-host (or cohort) is "Cousin Mel" and
we have regularly scheduled segments with Myra Vanderpool Gormley
and Erin Wallace.
I will be hosting the program today while Elon is out of town. Our
topic is "Researching Your Female Ancestors" and our guest in the
studio today is Susanne "Sam" Behling, webmaster of Notable Women
Ancestors and publisher of a newsletter by the same name. On the
phone we'll have Christina Schaefer, noted author of several great
genealogy books, the newest of which is "The Hidden Half of the
Family." Come join us and have fun talking about your own female
ancestors.
See you then,
Cyndi
P.S. We found it best to use only your web browser during the
session on TalkSpot. So close down other programs you may have
running in the background.
If you don't already have Real Audio (most of you probably do), you
can download a free copy at:
