TITLE: KEACH Family DNA
DESCRIPTION: I am seeking direct descendant
males of the KEACH family who are willing to have
a DNA test in order to prove or disprove a
relationship between the Rhode Island /
Connecticut KEACH line and the other KEACH lines.
The Keach Surname DNA Project was created to to
act as a "meeting point" where Keach Researchers
who have stumbled upon paper trail road blocks
can choose to have a DNA test done to further
their options. This Project's goal is two-fold.
Firstly, to determine if the different Keach
lines share a common male ancestor. Secondly, to
determine if other spelling variations are
related. The Keach Surname DNA project is open
to anyone with the unique surname Keach. In
addition, anyone with the following similar
sounding surnames are also welcome: Keech,
Keachie, Keetch. Currently there are 3 levels of
DNA test; 12 Markers is the lowest and most
inexpensive. However, as the Markers increase to
25 and 37 the number of generations decreases for having a "M!
ost Recent Shared Ancestor". In other words, if
you have a 12 Marker test done the MRSA will be
over 600 years, but with 25 and 37 Markers you
can close the generation gap. The people at
FamilyTreeDNA can explain it better as they are
the professionals.are willing to have a DNA test
in order to prove or disprove a relationship
between the Rhode Island / Connecticut KEACH line and the other KEACH lines.
