DESCRIPTION: The National Archives provides online access to a little-known set of name lists of naturalization records for immigrants in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Records cover both the 'declarations of intention' and 'petitions for naturalization' that would-be citizens had to file.

TITLE: Digital State Archives: New Jersey
DESCRIPTION: NJ gets a huge thumbs-up for one of the best of the online state archives. There are some terrific family history tools, dating back to Colonial days, and even a very unusual (and very useful) database of legal name changes recorded in the state.
