The royal family often visit different places in Denmark. But it can not
have been until 15. June 1920 a Danish king did visit Aabenraa, because
Aabenraa was German from 1864 until "Genforeningen" (reunion?) with
Denmark in 1920. Therefore it must have been Christian X.
Kind regards

Hello
My great-grandmother who was born in Aabenraa told a story about seeing
a visit from a King when she was a girl. She was born in 1895. Did the
monarchy do this often or was this a rare event? I'm trying to figure
out what King it was and have 2 possiblities- Christian XI or Frederick
VIII. Did either of them visit Aabenraa? Are there any articles written
about it?
Anyone that might know something about the monarchy- I'd love to hear
what you know about Royal visits.
Thanks
Christina
