I have been fortunate that over the years I have found, and have been helped
with many of my Danish born husband's earlier ancestors, but have been
frustrated in finding a record of the marriage of his grandparents, even
though I do have lots of information on his ggrandparents. I expect the
problem is that the date is too recent in time.

Niels Frederick Jorgensen was b. 20 Feb 1867, Saerslev, Bregninge Sogn,
Sjaelland, son of Jens Jorgensen and Ane Marie Jensdatter. He d. 30 Mar
1919. Gunslevmagle, nr. Torkildstrup, Falster, of Spanish influenza.
His wife, Karen Marie Madsen, was b. 14 Jul 1866 Gloslunde, Lolland, d. of
Mads Mathiesen and Cristiane Hansdatter, d. 12 Feb 1925, Torkildstrup,
Falster of apoplexy.
I don't know where they married or how they met since they were born fairly
far distant from each other. As Niels Frederick worked as a day labourer at
Skorring on Falster for Dinesen, had his own smallholding, am guessing that
perhaps Marie worked in the household at Skorring ? Their oldest child, Jen
Marius Jorgensen was born in Torkildstrup, Falster where the smallholding
was located 1 Nov 1893, and I would expect their marriage to have taken
place some time prior to that or soon after.
I'm wondering if anyone could give me a direction in which I might look for
this record ?
Thanks,
Margot Jorgensen, Courtenay B. C.
