I am looking for information on Frederick Larsen/Larson (probably changed to Larson in America). The records from his daughters family bible stated that Frederick Larson was born in October 11, 1832 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Frederick married Frederik-ka in 1857 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Frederick-ka was born May 11 or 16, 1839. They both worked in the Castle (Amalienborg). Frederick was a guard in the Queens Castle - the King's guard at the Palace and Frederick-ka was the Queens seamstress - Designer of the Queen's Hats and Clothing. It is said that the Queen named their child (my great grandmother) Katie Christina Larsena Larson who was born December 25, 1859 in Copenhagen, Denmark. According to Frederik-ka's obit notice they came to America in 1867.
I was in Copenhagen when I was a teen ager with my parents and my mother said that they saw the birth notices for my great grandparents when they were at the castle. My mother said that a man with white gloves turned the pages of the book to show them the information. Of course they did not copy anything down at that time.
I have the apron that Frederik-ka wore over on the ship.
I do hope that someone can give me more information about my great grandparents as they are my brick wall at this time. I have all of the information from their children down to myself and I hope to be able to learn more about the danish families.
Thank you.
