I understand that gaard means farm. ( I gathered that info' from somewhere,
now unknown .)
Yes, the Legaard farms which do, or, did, farm geese is, the family farm,
was called Glibstrup, in the late
1800's, & was where Johannes Legarth, was born according to oral family
history.
The name Legarth seems to have changed the spelling every second or third
generation since 1555,
when it was LAEGAARD. It is possible that some may still have that spelling.
In 1673 a Jorgan Rasmussen LEEGAARDT was born Gejsing, Andst, Ribe, as were
his known 7 Siblings.
In 1745 the name was LEGARDT, again Andst , Ribe.
Legarth shows in 1766, in Glibsrtupgaard, Andst , Ribe.
I have no idea about the Floystrup or Hauge names.
