Kathleen,

There a chap on another Danish list who is originally from Bornholm and
perhaps if you join that list and post there, you may find some help.

Here is their FAQ page with a link to join at the beginning. "To subscribe
to the Denmark List, send a message to that
contains (in the body of the message) the command "subscribe" (without the
quotes) and no additional text. Substitute L for D if you want to receive
messages individually instead of collected (usually daily) in digest (D)
mode. To unsubscribe, do the same thing only using the word "unsubscribe"
(again without the quotes). To switch from List to Digest mode and vice
versa, just unsubscribe from one and subscribe to the other."

Hello:
Recently I subscribed to this list with the hope of finding any and
all information which might lead to family
members still living in the island of Bornholm or in Denmark. My great
grandfather, Jense Almgaard, immigrated
from Bornholm and settled in Illinois. On a hunch, I typed Almgaard into
google and came up with the connection
I have listed below. It contains a person ( Sanne Almgaardz) with the
same last name as the one I am searching
and there is some connection with Bornholm; however, I can't read a word of
it. Could someone please translate this
for me?
